Nigel Hitches

Born on July 6 1965, originally from Warwick in the UK, lived for 4 years in St Andrews, Scotland, where I was inspired to play golf when Seve Ballesteros won the British Open in 1984.

The charismatic style of Ballesteros is still my driving force to play great golf today
Trained as a Chef, we own restaurant Le Courage in Maastricht along with my wife Marianka.
We are very proud of our two Children, David aged 9 and Sara aged 5

Lived in Maastricht since December 2001, like so many people our lives were forced to change due to the events on that terrible day now known as 9/11.

First got involved with Stichting Lob-star when along with Chateau Neercanne we cooked a lunch for the kids and their families in November 2009.
Good health is so often taken for granted, when I saw these brave children and their families and all of the people working for Lob-star, I wanted to do more to help.

I try to raise money for Stichting Lob-star by asking people to sponsor me. Every time I make a birdie or eagle in competition play together we raise 1 euro for each birdie and 5 euros for each eagle per sponsor.

2010 was the first year and we raised a fantastic €960
lets hope that 2011 is filled with birdies for Lob-Star.
